A unified casino and sports betting experience designed for faster discovery and confident play.
That was the brief in the original write-up. VantageBet is a concept, with no operator, licence or player behind it, so the work is the product itself: how a casino, a sportsbook and the account behind them fit into one phone, and where the controls that keep play in proportion sit inside it.
One app, two products, one balance
VantageBet puts a casino lobby, a sportsbook and the account behind both into one mobile app: five tabs, a header that always shows the real-money balance, and full-screen flows for signing up, verifying identity and playing a game.
The prototype is coded, 390 × 844, dark and light, and routes 26 screens on sample data. Every screen on this page is a capture of it.
Responsible play is part of the flows rather than a settings page: the deposit limit is on the deposit screen, the stake field speaks up before a large bet, the in-game menu opens the limits hub, and every Home feed ends with a way to manage limits.

Five tabs, one balance, full-screen when it matters
The tab bar holds the two products and the three places people come back to. The header is the same on every tab: the real-money balance, which opens Add Funds, the theme switch and notifications. Flows that need full attention (sign-up, identity checks, a game) take the whole screen and drop the tabs.

One screen, closely
Dense, but readable in one pass
Sports carries the most on one screen: the balance, matches in play, and fixtures with three prices each. The hierarchy does the sorting.
- 01 / 04
Money is always top right
The header chip shows the real-money balance, not bonus, and opens Add Funds. It's in the same place on every tab.

- 02 / 04
Live comes first
Matches in play sit in a sideways rail: competition, clock, score and 1-X-2 prices on one card. It scrolls on its own axis, so the fixtures below stay put.

- 03 / 04
Prices you can compare down a column
Every fixture gets fixed-width 1, X and 2 buttons with the outcome above the price. Prices use tabular figures at two decimals, so 3.40 and 3.00 line up.

- 04 / 04
Five tabs within thumb reach
Home, Sports, Casino, Bets, Account. Selections on the slip show as a count on Bets, so a half-built bet isn't lost when you move around.

From a price to a placed bet
- 01 / 05
Pick the match, then the market
Match Result, BTTS, Over/Under, Handicap and First Scorer sit in tabs under the score. Each price is a full-width row with the outcome spelled out, not a bare number.

Event: the market tabs under the score. - 02 / 05
One tap selects
The row fills, the selection goes onto the slip, and the slip opens by itself a moment later. There's no separate add-to-slip step.

Selected: the row takes the action colour. - 03 / 05
The slip does the maths
Single or accumulator. Type a stake or use €5–€50 quick amounts. The potential return updates with every change, before anything is committed.

Bet Slip: stake in, return out. - 04 / 05
A large stake gets a word first
Over €200, an amber note appears above the button: "You're near your daily stake limit." It doesn't block the bet. It makes the size of it visible at the moment it's chosen.

"Consider placing a smaller stake to stay within your limits." - 05 / 05
Confirmation reads like a receipt
Event, market, selection, odds, stake, potential return and a reference. Then back to Sports, or on to My Bets.

Bet placed: everything that was agreed to.

Where money moves, the controls are
- Decision 01
- Constraint
- Depositing is when a limit matters most, and a limits page in settings is the last thing anyone opens on the way to a deposit.
- Decision
- Put the limit on the deposit screen: what's left of the weekly limit above the amount, and a "Set a deposit limit" card under the payment methods that opens the limit screen directly.
- Result
- Add Funds opens on "€180 of €500" remaining. Setting a limit is one tap from where money goes in.

Add Funds: the limit card sits with the payment methods. - Decision 02
- Constraint
- A limit that can be raised on impulse isn't doing its job.
- Decision
- Make changes asymmetric. Lowering a limit applies at once. Raising it carries a 24-hour delay, shown before the save button.
- Result
- The note changes as the number does: "Decreasing a limit takes effect immediately." or "24-hour delay applies".

Raising the limit: the delay is stated before saving. - Decision 03
- Constraint
- Bonus money and real money look alike in a balance, and only one of them can be withdrawn.
- Decision
- Give each balance type its own colour token: real money emerald, bonus amber, locked grey, and label what can't be withdrawn.
- Result
- Withdraw Funds breaks the balance down and counts only real money as "Available to withdraw". Account shows real and bonus side by side.

Withdraw: three balances, one of them withdrawable. - Decision 04
- Constraint
- A declined card is a dead end if the screen only says "failed".
- Decision
- Explain the decline in plain language, list what to try, and offer other methods on the same screen.
- Result
- "Your bank didn't authorise this payment…", three things to try, three other methods with their timing, and Retry same card.

Declined: the reason, then the ways forward. - Decision 05
- Constraint
- Self-exclusion is a serious decision. It shouldn't be easy to trigger by accident, or styled like an error.
- Decision
- Two steps in neutral styling: what exclusion means and how long, then an explicit confirmation that names the period.
- Result
- No red, no warning icons. Support organisations stay on screen, and "No, go back" is as easy to reach as the confirm button.

"Are you sure?": the period is named before it starts.
The casino, with the way out in view
Home is a casino feed with eight categories, each with its own content. Game detail shows volatility, bet range and RTP before Play now. In a game, time played sits in the top bar, turning amber after an hour, and the menu leads straight to Responsible gambling.
- 01

Home: a feed per category. - 02

Lobby: search, categories, live tables with bet ranges. - 03

Game detail: the numbers before the button. - 04

In-game: time played, and limits one tap away.
Verified before money, browsable before verified
An age gate before anything else. Sign-up in three steps with inline validation. The ID scan says what's happening while it captures. While documents are checked, the app opens with limited access: games can be browsed, deposits wait.

Age gate first.
Step 1 of 3.
ID scan: captured.
"Deposits unlock once verification is complete."
One system, two themes
Every screen works in dark and light from one token set. The semantic colours keep their meaning in both: amber is always about limits, emerald always about money that's yours.

Dark: VantageBet Stay in Control in the dark theme. Light: VantageBet Stay in Control in the light theme.
Try it
The real prototype on sample data. Browse the casino, place a bet, open Add Funds, change a limit, switch themes. There's no account and nothing is sent anywhere. Everything resets on reload. Operator and licence details inside it are marked as concept placeholders.

Loads on request. Nothing is embedded until you start it.
Tokens with one job each
One token set drives both themes. Colour roles are semantic: cobalt for actions and selected prices, emerald for real money and success, amber for anything about limits, crimson for failures. DM Sans carries headings and every number. Inter carries the interface. Buttons, inputs and odds are 52px tall, and nothing tappable is under 44px.

What it is, and what it isn't
VantageBet is a portfolio concept: a coded prototype of 26 screens on a token-based system in two themes. It has no operator, no licence, no users and no data, so there are no results to report. Only the product decisions, which the prototype lets you check.
- 26 screens across casino, sportsbook, wallet, onboarding, account and responsible play
- Dark and light themes from one token set
- A working prototype, embedded above
Reflection
The screens that took the most thought weren't the busy ones. They were the quiet ones: the deposit screen, where a limit has to be visible without turning the page into a warning, and self-exclusion, where the product has to treat a serious decision seriously without making it frightening.
Most of the responsible-play work came down to placement: putting the control where the decision is made, and saying plainly what it does.
